On Saturday the U13 lax team played in the Midlands Lax Tournament which was a great success. Sixteen of us went out and prepared ourselves for what we knew would be a hard day of tough lax. Equipped with water and plenty of warm clothes we began by playing Bedford High and after a close match, won 2-1. We then went on to beat Malvern St James and after a fair amount of whooping and cheering we found ourselves in the semi-finals against Godstowe.
We were expecting trouble but after some fantastic shots and nail biting defending we won 8-1. Very nervous and apprehensive, we played Packwood Haugh, and although both teams played incredibly hard Packwood pulled ahead and beat us 3-0. Everyone played fantastically and was in great spirits after coming a good second.
