Dame Frances Dove's Vision

When Dame Frances Dove founded the School her aims included the pursuit of academic excellence, the development of each individual’s talents and the encouragement of faith in God and service to other people.  She also wished to foster a sense of community and wanted Wycombe to play its part in the local and wider community.

We believe that by expanding our bursary provision we are supporting Dame Frances Dove’s vision and, to this end, our plans are to increase our endowment funds.  We wish, in the future, to be able to offer places to girls of high academic calibre so that they can enjoy the first class education Wycombe can offer, regardless of parental income.  Unlike other well-known older schools, Wycombe has no significant endowment and gifts to the Bursary Endowment Fund will enable us to achieve our aims as soon as possible.

A gift to the Bursary Fund will make a difference.  The Wycombe Abbey Bursary Endowment Fund will change the lives of many young women, enabling them to achieve their potential and to go on to make their own difference in the world.
