Boarding at Wycombe

At Wycombe Abbey learning and living together are fundamental to our community life. We believe that the strong sense of community, created through our vibrant full boarding ethos, enables us to provide an exceptionally rich and exciting education in its broadest sense, for the benefit of each girl in our care. Day girls are called 'Day Boarders' - to reinforce everyone's commitment to the boarding ethos.

The Grounds and Buildings

Although we are located on the edge of the large town of High Wycombe we are very fortunate to have beautiful and spacious grounds: these grounds of 160 acres rise to 500 feet above sea-level, including woods, gardens and a lake.

Why Boarding?

 'You're always with your friends'

'Less time commuting to school and more time doing something more interesting!'

Allocation of places in Senior Houses

The medical team

Being healthy is a key part of boarding life and Wycombe has it's own team of residential nurses as well as visiting doctors.
