Open Sixth Form Scholarships, of 12% fees, and Exhibitions of fixed value may be awarded.
Scholarships and Exhibitions are awarded only if there are candidates of sufficient merit, but once given are tenable for as long as the holders remain in School, subject to satisfactory work and general progress. All awards date from the September of entry.
Candidates wishing to be considered for the Sixth Form Scholarship must take a scholarship examination paper and attend a Scholarship interview in addition to following the normal Sixth Form entry procedure. Scholarship candidates must sit all their examination papers at Wycombe Abbey; the entry and scholarship papers are on consecutive days. Specimen papers are not available.
VI Form Music Scholarship
A Music Scholarship is available to girls entering the Sixth Form. Candidates should have reached Grade 8 on their main instrument and preferably they should also study a second instrument. They will be required to attend an audition on the day prior to the entrance examination. For the audition they will need to offer two short contrasting pieces or excerpts on their main instrument and one piece on their second instrument. The audition will also involve some sight reading, aural tests and viva voce. They will, of course, need to comply with all other criteria for Sixth Form entry.
