Welcome to Wycombe Abbey's website. I hope that it will give you a flavour of life here and provide a snapshot of some of the many and varied activities that take place in school.  Inevitably, a website can only partially reflect the reality of school life, so I would urge you to visit the school, meet the girls and staff, and experience the warmth and vitality of our boarding community.

Wycombe has an outstanding academic reputation.  We achieved our best ever A Level results last summer with a 100% pass rate, 98.5% A and B grades achieved and every student meeting her university offer.  But Wycombe is about so much more than academic results: music, sport, art, drama and a vast array of extra-curricular activities which we have tried to reflect on the website.

I am tremendously proud of the girls and staff; the results we achieve are a real testimony to everyone’s hard work. What made last summer’s results particularly pleasing is that this year group were such a nice, purposeful group of girls, and the first group that I have had the privilege of seeing right through the School. They emerged as wonderfully entertaining, articulate and confident young women, who found time in such a busy year not only for study, but also for involvement in a wide range of extra-curricular activities and for service to the wider community in High Wycombe. We shall miss them a great deal and wish them well as they go on to take up their university places, either straightaway or after exciting GAP years.
