Admission to Wycombe Abbey

Please note that lists are closed for both 11+ and 13+ entry in 2009. We are operating a waiting-list for 11+ entry in 2009.

Lists are also closed for candidates based overseas for 13+ entry in 2010.

Choosing a school is an important decision and the main purpose of the Registrar's Office at Wycombe is to try to provide you with adequate information and guidance to help in that decision.

I hope that you find the Admissions section helpful, but if it fails to address your specific query or you wish to discuss any aspect of your daughter's application further, please do not hestitate to contact us and we will endeavour to help you.

Visiting the School

Prospective parents and their daughters are very welcome to visit the school . The two types of visit are Group Meetings, held twice termly on a Saturday, and individual appointments on weekday afternoons.

The next three Group Meetings will be held on Saturday 20 September 2008 (fully booked),Saturday 1 November 2008 and Saturday 17 January 2009.  Please telephone the Admissions Office on 01494 897 008 if you would like to make an appointment to attend one of these meetings.

Entry at 11+ and 13+

Please note that lists are closed for both 11+ and 13+ entry in 2009. We are operating a waiting-list for 11+ entry in 2009.

Lists are also closed for candidates based overseas for 13+ entry in 2010.

Applications should be made at least eighteen months prior to proposed entry for 11+ and at least 2 years before entry for 13+ as lists may be closed and no further registrations accepted whenever a sufficient number of applications for any particular year have been received.

Parents may register their daughter by completing a registration form and returning it, with the (non-returnable) registration fee. Registration means that a girl will be invited to come for an interview in the year preceding her proposed entry. The interview is an essential part of the application process and at both 11+ and 13+ level it is integrated into a morning or afternoon of group activities with other applicants in the same age group.

Fees

The fees for the Academic Year 2008/9 are £9,100 per term. For day boarders the fees are £6,825 per term. The Council hopes that the fees will remain unchanged for the entire Academic Year. Any parent wishing to know about the Composition Fees' Scheme or with any other queries regarding fees should contact the Bursar,  Mr J Luke.

Telephone: 01494 445552
