Lacrosse Success in the Midlands Schools' Lacrosse Tournament

The U15 and U14 Lacrosse teams travelled to Stowe to play in the annual Midlands Schools' Lacrosse Tournament.

In their first match, the U14s dug deep to create a number of successful scoring opportunities and won the game 2-1. With each new game, the team gained more momentum in attack and applied greater pressure in defence. The U14s went on to secure five convincing wins against opposition. The girls thoroughly deserved to be crowned U14 Midlands' champions. All players should be commended for their performance, particularly Lottie who was named POT.

Despite narrowly losing their first match 4-3 to a tough Moreton Hall side, the U15s were determined to keep fighting and subsequently went on to win the remaining five matches, earning them second place overall. Annabel was named POT.

Meanwhile back at home, the junior teams had a very successful and enjoyable afternoon. The U13A and B Teams were both victorious against Godstowe, with particularly good performances from POMs Helena, Soma, Anna and Sophie.

The U12 A and B Teams both overcame disappointments in previous fixtures to fight hard for victory against Queen Anne's. The Bs won 8–4, and Ayo should be applauded for her very impressive performance in goal. The As held their ground against a physical and powerful Queen Anne's side, finishing the game with a  4–2 victory. A solid performance in attack saw Maddie nominated as POM.

The U12C, U13C, U14C, 1st and 2nd Teams played internal matches, which gave the girls some valuable and enjoyable additional match practice.
